This Privacy Policy explains how Alchemy Intelligence ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you contact us through our WhatsApp business messaging service and related tools. By messaging us on WhatsApp, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

Alchemy Intelligence is an automation and AI services provider based in Zimbabwe. We build and operate WhatsApp assistants and customer-management tools for businesses. You can reach us using the contact details at the end of this policy.

2. Information we collect

When you message our WhatsApp business number, or when a business we work with operates a WhatsApp assistant we built, we may collect:

• Your WhatsApp phone number and WhatsApp profile name.
• The content of the messages you send us, including any details you choose to share (for example your name, your business, the service you are interested in, and preferred appointment times).
• Basic conversation metadata, such as the date and time of messages and their delivery status.

We do not ask for, and you should not send, sensitive information such as passwords, payment card numbers, national ID numbers, or medical details through WhatsApp.

3. How we use your information

We use the information above only to:

• Respond to your enquiry and answer your questions.
• Capture and manage appointment or callback requests you make.
• Follow up about the specific enquiry or service you contacted us about.
• Operate, maintain, and improve our messaging service.

An automated assistant (AI) may generate replies to your messages. You can ask to speak with a person at any time by replying “human”.

4. Legal basis and consent

We process your information on the basis of your consent, which you give by choosing to message us, and to provide the service or information you have requested. You can withdraw consent at any time (see “Your choices” below).

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• WhatsApp / Meta Platforms, which delivers the messages between you and us. Your use of WhatsApp is also governed by WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy.
• The specific business whose WhatsApp assistant you contacted, where we operate the service on their behalf, so that they can respond to and serve you.
• Service providers who help us run our systems (such as secure hosting), under confidentiality obligations and only as needed.
• Authorities, where required by law.

6. Data retention

We keep your messages and enquiry details only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for reasonable business and legal record-keeping, after which they are deleted or anonymised. You can request deletion sooner (see below).

7. Your choices and rights

• Opt out: reply “STOP” at any time and we will stop messaging you.
• Access or deletion: you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, using the contact details below.
• Correction: you can ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

9. Children

Our services are intended for adults and for business communication. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of our WhatsApp service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
